The game is divided into two distinct phases: the "Surf-predicting" phase and the "Surf-riding" phase. During the "Surf-predicting" phase, players must utilize the cards in their hands to form melds, which in turn grants them a Surf tile. In the subsequent "Surf-riding" phase, players strategically place the Surf tile on the board, move their Mermaid using the cards from their hand, and collect the coveted treasures.

To secure the heart of the Prince, players must carefully manage their resources. While stuck in the ocean, they cannot directly win the Prince's affection. Instead, they must spend a portion of their hard-earned treasure to appease the powerful witch, who will transform their glorious fish tails into functional legs, granting them the opportunity to venture onto land and dazzle the Prince with their remaining treasure.

The game's components include a captivating board, a scoring board, 87 cards, 36 Surf tiles, 72 treasure tokens, 6 scoring tokens, and 6 Mermaid stand-ups with plastic bases, all accompanied by a comprehensive set of rules.
